My name is Cassidy Berry, I have wanted to be a teacher all my life. I attended Ball State University then, transferred to Ivy Tech after a year and a half. I've had my substitute license since October 2023.

 

I believe being an educator isn't just about teaching a list of subjects to a class. I believe being a teacher is about being a listening ear to a student who is having a rough day, being a shoulder to cry on, and being a safe place to go when they don't feel safe anywhere else. 

I strongly believe that learning should not only be fun, but something to remember. I once had a teacher tell me, "When you get older and think back to all the things you learned. You will not remember the boring lessons but the fun hands-on experiences you had."
